Gantt Chart

Q: How do I create a Work Breakdown Structure / Gantt Chart?

A: ProjectLibre automatically creates the Gantt Chart. The tasks just need to be created. To create a task follow steps below.
  1. Go to Task > Gantt
  2. In the next available vacant row type the name of task in the Name column.
  3. Input the hours days in Duration. Type h after the number for hours and d for days. If no letter is provided, it defaults to days. If hours is inputted it is converted into days using 8 hours to a day.
  4. Input the start date in Start.
  5. Finish date will automatically be determined by adding duration to the start date. ProjectLibre will automatically skip weekends. If you manually adjust Finish date, Duration will be recomputed.
  6. To set a task to be sub-task, right the task and click Indent. Indented tasks becomes child tasks. Child tasks can have their own child tasks and so forth. Use Outdent to change a child task to a parent task.
  7. In Predecessors, indicate the row numbers of the tasks that need to be completed before this task can be started
  8. In Resource Names, indicate the project members who will work on the task
